As the campaign for Circuit Court Judge gets underway, I take a look back at the beginning of my legal career. It’s hard to believe it’s been over 12 years since I was sworn in as a deputy prosecutor (at that time, in Marion County). The kids who posed that day with their daddy’s new badge have all but grown up now. Time really does fly!
It’s been my privilege to seek to do justice for the community as a prosecutor – most of those years in Dubois Circuit Court. If the community chooses me to be the next judge of that court, I’ll be setting aside the badge; but I won’t be setting aside public service.
