I am honored to have had so many Dubois County law enforcement officers, both active and retired, walking alongside me last weekend in Ireland. Together, they represented four different law enforcement agencies, which I think is noteworthy.
As a deputy prosecutor, Indiana law recognizes me as a law enforcement officer, and I’m proud to carry a badge every day. But while I carry out my responsibilities in the comfort and safety of a courtroom, the men pictured with me have spent their careers stepping into uncertainty and danger to protect the rest of us. They are the kind of men who would lay down their lives for others without hesitation.
Gentlemen, thank you for who you are. And thank you for your support.
